Hotel Information
Fair Warning:OwlCon takes place on campus at Rice University, and does not have any special arrangements this year with any hotels. For your convenience, we have provided some information below about some nearby hotels, but please be aware that there is no special pricing this year for OwlCon attendees, nor is OwlCon in any way associated with any of the hotels listed below. Some hotels may offer a special rate if you mention that you are attending a Rice event, but there are no guarantees.
Note: You should reserve venues for a convention or conference well in advance. If you think you will need a venue at OwlCon, please book them at least a month in advance.

Convention/Registration Opens:
6:00 PM Friday, February 21, 2014.
Convention/Registration Closes:
8:00 PM Sunday, February 23, 2014.

Note: Our policy is one overall fee for the convention. Individual events do not have an additional attendance fee.
Convention Admission (prices subject to change)
- At the door
- Weekend pass - $30 ($25 students*)
- One day pass - $20 ($18 students*)
- Preregistration
- Weekend pass - $25
- One day pass - $18
* - Students includes full-time students at all level of education, regardless of their school, college, university.
Note: payment at the door must be in the form of cash or check. ATMs are available in the student center as needed.
Rice Discount: We offer a 50% discount to anyone with a valid Rice University ID.
Spectators: As always, it's free to look around! OwlCon has always been about building our hobby. You do not need to buy a badge just to wander around and look, that includes visiting our Dealers.
Refund Policy
No refunds will be given after pre-registration has closed. This includes, but is not limited to, fees for registration, t-shirts, advertisements (or other promotion fees), and dealer tables.
If you request a refund before the close of pre-registration, it will be honored, but we will deduct any fees that cannot be recovered, e.g. Rice Marketplace transaction fees.

Building Hours
The bulk of events will occur in the Rice Student Center; a number of satellite locations will be used (and their hours will vary as needed for the events). The hours of OwlCon in the Student Center will be:
